Oahu Ocean Activities and Snorkeling - North Shore Shark Cage Adventure

Description:

The tours leave from Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor at 7:00am, 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am and 12:00pm.  Shark Adventures uses a custom 32-foot Anderson boat with a swim step on the transom of the boat. Tours are limited to six persons so there is no overcrowding. Safety of our passengers is our first priority. A safety briefing is given at the start of the tour. People may bring their own mask and snorkel, however, fins are not necessary. Masks and snorkels are also provided on the vessel "Kailolo II". "Kailolo" means water crazy. Once we get to the area, the shark cage is placed in the water. The cage floats on the surface of the water. The water is a cobalt blue and visibility is approximately 200 feet or more. You can actually see the sharks come up from the deep. While on this tour, you will have the opportunity to also see Hawaiian Green Sea turtles, dolphins and humpback whales,depending on the season.

Transportation is available for an additional fee of $45 from Waikiki Beach and Kahala only.  Saturday and Sunday 7:00am only; Monday-Friday 9:00am and 11:00am tours only. 

The Observer Option is for those who do not wish to be in the water with the sharks but would like to observe from the boat for $60.

Child rates are also available. 

The cage itself, can hold two people very comfortably, however, we have had up to four people in it at a time, depending on the weather conditions. We travel offshore of Haleiwa approximately 3 to 4 miles. People are encouraged to bring underwater cameras because they will be able to get some of the best photographs of Hawaiian sharks possible anywhere.

The size of the sharks range from 5 feet to 15 feet. These sharks will be only inches away from the cage and those inside. You may stay as long as you want in the cage to enjoy the spectacular view.

People from around the World, including England, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Japan. from almost every State in the mainland have enjoyed the tour. Some of the people that come on the tour have not even been in the ocean before. A lot of people come with phobia about sharks. After our tour their inhibitions and phobias disappear and they have a greater respect for the shark and its beauty.

North Shore Shark Adventures have been featured on the BBC Outdoors in England, ESPN Outdoors and soon will be on Canadian Wildlife television. The tour itself includes the boat ride and viewing the sharks from the deck. You may also sign up to enter the cage.

Cancellations and Refunds:

You must notify us directly if you need to cancel a tour. You can contact us via email or by phone. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy there will be full charge per person for cancellations or no shows after that time. We offer a full refund for cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance.
On occasion, we must cancel or change tours. If this occurs, our responsibility is limited to a refund of any tour fees you've already paid. North Shore Shark Adventures is not responsible for airline tickets, other tickets or payments, or any similar fee penalties that you may incur as a result of any tour cancellations or changes.

We cannot make exceptions to the reservation and cancellation policy for any reason, including personal emergencies. The reservation and cancellation policy applies to all reservations.
